about

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, to Armenian parents and shaped by a life across many cities, I often find myself contemplating two questions: who am I and how does one find true stillness?

A quest that keeps me coming back to the practices of Yoga.

In 2009, I took a job across the street from 841 Broadway, New York City – Jivamukti Yoga School. My first class led me to walk out. It took seven years to circle back to the school only to notice something was different. An inner curiosity led to a steady practice. Subtle yet impactful shifts began to happen. Moments of stillness were finally settling in.

In this space of stillness anything felt achievable - a true sense of Sukha (सुख), or ease.

That same curiosity led me to complete the 300-hour Jivamukti teacher training in 2017 and to further study Ayurveda in 2019. Rooted in life (Ayur) and knowledge (Veda), Ayurveda deepens my understanding of balance - body, mind, breath, and environment - complimenting the yoga practice. In seeking the source of my questions, I’ve come to understand - it doesn’t matter. I am who I am, nothing yet everything. The yoga practices led me to understand and continuously learn from this revelation.

My aim is to blend ancient wisdom with today’s world, ultimately to find stillness.

Each class integrates Nada (sound), Shastra (philosophy), Asana (posture or “seat”), Pranayama (breath), and Dhyana (meditation) encouraging practitioners to explore their own subtle shifts in breath, movement, and mind. It is said if you want to master something, teach it. Teaching is now an extension of my practice. I invite you to join me in the exploration of Self-study through curiosity and authenticity, uncovering the stillness and knowingness that always exists within each of us.
